Product Description

ALL PURPOSE COATING R/P is a fine seasoned coating developed for flavouring and coating chicken products intended for deep frying.

The coating delivers:

  • Mild barbeque spice flavour
  • Paprika and pepper notes
  • Savoury onion and garlic flavour
  • Rich meaty background notes
  • Pale orange coating colour after frying

The product is suitable for chicken portions, strips, and other coated poultry applications.


Intended Use

For coating and flavouring chicken products prior to deep frying or pressure frying.


Unintended Use / Reasonably Foreseeable Misuse

If stored incorrectly or exposed to prolonged temperature abuse, the shelf life and quality of the product may be significantly affected.


Usage Guidelines

  • Shake the bag of coating before use.
  • Any batter prepared with the coating should be made fresh and used immediately.
  • Allow the shortest possible holding time to prevent salt settling.
  • Dip meat into the prepared EGG-FREE DIP mixture (06009010) before coating.
  • Coat the product evenly to achieve approximately 10% coating pick-up.
  • Shake off excess coating before frying.

Suggested Method – Chicken Portions

Method

  1. Mix together the EGG-FREE DIP R/P and water.
  2. Dip the chicken into the egg-free dip mixture.
  3. Coat evenly with the ALL PURPOSE COATING R/P.
  4. Place coated chicken into the fryer basket with the basket fully submerged in oil.
    • Do not stack chicken pieces in the basket.
  5. Deep-fry in batches at 160°C for approximately 14 – 16 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Alternatively, pressure-fry for approximately 12 – 14 minutes.

Method

  1. Mix together the EGG-FREE DIP R/P and water.
  2. Pour the ALL PURPOSE COATING R/P onto a plate or coating tray.
  3. Dip chicken strips into the egg-free dip mixture.
  4. Coat evenly with the ALL PURPOSE COATING R/P.
  5. Place coated chicken into the fryer basket with the basket fully submerged in oil.
    • Do not stack the chicken strips in the basket.
  6. Deep-fry in batches at 160°C for approximately 4 – 6 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
